Located minutes to downtown Sequim and easily accessible to Port Angeles and all the Olympic Peninsula has to offer. Whether your looking for a quiet spot to sit back and unwind or hit the trails and explore, it's all here, almost at your backdoor.

The quiet setting and sounds of nature are sure to calm your mind and balance your senses for a restful nights sleep.

You may find yourself in a quandary as where to sleep in the Tiny House Getaway, do you choose the main level bedroom with adjacent bath or feel like a kid again and head upstairs to the sleeping loft and enjoy views right from your bed. Either way you’re in for a treat as fabulously comfortable beds and luxury Egyptian cotton linens await!

Venture out to the covered porch, sip your morning coffee, relax and listen to the quiet. Outside, walk the pathway to the stone patio which features a gas grill and a fire pit. Sit back and take in the picturesque views of the pond and the crystal clear creek that flows from mountain snow melt. Read a good book, maybe enjoy a glass of wine from a local winery. Watch the duck families paddling about the pond, Kingfishers swooping and diving into the water, Blue Herons patiently waiting for a meal, and Bald Eagles soaring up above.

The neighborhood

The Tiny House Getaway sits well back on a quiet country road with light auto traffic, we probably have more walkers and bikers than cars during the day.

You will be just 2.5 miles from town yet you will feel worlds away in an rural agricultural area dotted with lavender fields and small organic farms.

-A short drive to Olympic National Park

Dine in or dine out, we got you covered either way with a great selection of locally owned farm to table restaurants and small grocery stores offering local and organic items.

Small town living - Sequim is small town America - a quaint downtown with unique gift shops, art galleries, great farm to table restaurants, a Saturday morning farmers market and numerous annual festivals.

To find Sequim's real attractions you need to head out to the countryside, almost at your backdoor, you can cast your line in the nearby Dungeness river, tour a lavender farm, bike the Discovery Trail, hike to the Dungeness Spit lighthouse, taste great local wine, take a hot air balloon ride, golf at the areas best courses, go berry picking, or rent a kayak or stand up paddle boat . Take a short drive to Port Angeles to find more great restaurants, go on a whale watch, enjoy fresh steamed crab, and hop a ferry to a whole other country - Victoria, British Columbia in Canada. Head to the Olympic national Park, venture into a moss covered rain forest, hike the unspoiled wilderness of Hurricane Ridge or explore remote rugged beaches.

Getting around

Getting around is best done by car or bicycle. There is a local taxi service, a shuttle van that makes daily runs to SeaTac airport and bus service runs from Sequim west to Forks, closest bus stop is about 2.5 miles away.

Other things to note

-Small amount of firewood provided per stay, no fires during fire ban.
-Cooler, small backpack, thermos and folding chairs provided for day trips.
-No land line, cell service with older cell phones can be spotty.
-A small dog and 2 cats that live with us in the main house, however, they do not enter the tiny house.

Guest access

The Tiny House Getaway shares 5 acres of land with our home. The tiny house is tucked away in its own little paradise, making it the perfect relaxation spot. It is separated from the main house by graceful landscaping and privacy screens. Guests are welcome to stroll around the pond, to pick strawberries, blackberries and enjoy the fruit trees. You'll have full access to the tiny house and porch, patio with seating, gas grill, fire ring and adjacent private yard.

Interaction with guests

We realize most people want to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life on their getaway, we do our best to provide you with a private and relaxing place to do just that.

You may check yourself in with a keyless entry pin pad. We are generally available next door and certainly by phone or email should you need help or have any questions. -Katie & Jim

House Rules

No smoking

May not be safe or suitable for children under 10 years old due to pond, steep loft stairs, and railing
Check-in time is 3PM - 11PM.

-You are entrusted to take care of the Tiny House Getaway and leave it in the same condition as when you arrived.
-Smoking (including e-cigarettes & marijuana) allowed outdoors on the patio ONLY. Absolutely NO smoking indoors or on porch.
-Quiet time after 10pm
-Registered guests only, no parties or events.
-Fires are allowed in fire pit, keep minimal & supervise. If Fire Ban is in place it MUST be followed.
- No fireworks
-Flotation cushions provided for raft, for your safety stay off and out of pond if you can't swim.
